Laurentina was kidnapped and experimenting on by the Church of the Deep, and injected with Originum (magic cancer rocks) that caused her to develop mental confusion and illness.

This causes her to go into a diassociative state and call herself Specter (who might actually be the Originium in her body manifesting its own consciousness?) that believes she is a nun of the Church, and often slips into religious-themed delusions or confusion.

Following her canonpoint Laurentina is more often lucid and the more dominant personality. She can be a bit Much but not in a triggering way.

Since the canon portrayal of her illness is... a far cry from the realities of DID, I hesitate to call it that or to call Specter a true alter, but she does have an identity disorder that's tied with disassociation. I am attempting to handle this as respectfully as possibly but I am happy to hear feedback.
